(Say you have 786 followers)  You can calculate your reach rate by dividing your reach by the number of your followers and multiplying it by 100. So the reach rate for the post whose analytics is shown above is (173/786)*100=22.01%. The average Instagram metric’s global reach rate is 34.37%, so 22% is not a bad number but it can definitely go up.  

Tips to Increase Your Reach Rate

Instagram’s new 2020 Algorithm shows your posts to only 10% of your followers which is proving to be a massive disappointment for its users. There are 2 ways you can calculate your engagement rate – first is by reach and second is by followers (engagement per follower). 

Engagement by Reach = (Comments + Likes + Saves) / (Reach x 100)
